Industrial Component Distribution Built on Application Knowledge, Not Just Inventory
Most industrial distributors can get you a part number. The difference between a distributor and a technical resource is what happens before the order is placed.
AOP Technologies has been a stocking distributor of pneumatic, automation, fluid handling, and sealing components in the Pacific Northwest since 1963. We carry inventory in our Auburn, WA location, and we maintain direct relationships with the manufacturers we represent. But the part of what we do that is harder to replicate is the application knowledge our team brings to every customer engagement.
When a component fails repeatedly, or a new application requires a specification that is not obvious from a catalog, or a design needs to account for operating conditions that eliminate several otherwise reasonable options, that is the conversation we are built for. We do not route technical questions to a manufacturer hotline. Our team works through them with you directly.
What We Distribute
Pneumatics
Pneumatic cylinders, actuators, valves, air preparation components, fittings, and tubing for industrial automation, OEM manufacturing, and MRO applications. We stock a broad range of configurations and help customers select components matched to their actual cycle requirements, operating pressures, and environmental conditions.
Representative brands: Air-Logic, AirTac, Air-Vac, Clippard, Compact Automation, Freelin-Wade, Gast, Mem-co, Metal Work Pneumatics, Pisco, Schmalz
Controls and Automation
Electronic motion and control components, sensors, and automation hardware for manufacturing applications. We carry components suited to both discrete control and more complex automation configurations, and our engineering staff can support customers working through system design and specification.
Representative brands: Compact Automation, Kawasaki, Metal Work Pneumatics, Nason Sensors, Omron, AirTac
Liquid Handling
Fluid handling components for industrial, food production, and OEM applications: tubing, fittings, connectors, pumps, and fluid transfer components specified for the media, pressure, and temperature requirements of the application.
Representative brands: Clippard, Colder (CPC), Freelin-Wade, John Guest, Parker, Pisco
Seals and O-Rings
Sealing products across a range of materials, geometries, and compliance certifications for industrial, food processing, medical device, and aerospace applications. Material selection is the central technical issue in sealing ā the right elastomer or compound depends on the chemistry, temperature, and pressure conditions of the specific application.
Representative brands: Freudenberg, Parker Hannifin, Precision Associates
How We Support Customers
Local stocking in the Pacific Northwest
We maintain inventory at our location ā Auburn, WA. For production environments where a component shortage creates a line stoppage, local availability is an operational requirement, not a convenience. We offer just-in-time delivery, blanket orders, and stocking agreements structured around your production volume and consumption patterns.
Engineering support at the application level
Our field sales representatives work directly with engineering and maintenance teams on component selection and specification. Our technical staff handles product application questions that go beyond standard catalog guidance. For customers working through a recurring failure or a new design, that access to engineering knowledge is part of doing business with us, not an add-on service.
Purchase consolidation
For customers who source across multiple product categories, consolidating pneumatic, fluid handling, control, and sealing components through a single distributor reduces procurement complexity and keeps application knowledge in one place. We cover all four categories with stocked inventory and engineering support.
ISO 9001:2015 certified supply chain
Our quality management system covers all departments and is audited annually, internally and by an accredited third-party auditor. For customers in regulated industries who need documented, traceable components, our certification provides a supply chain that meets that standard.
Distribution and Contract Manufacturing Under One Roof
For customers who need both off-the-shelf components and custom-built sub-assemblies, AOP operates as both a stocking distributor and a contract manufacturer. That means we can supply individual components for your maintenance stock and build tested, certified sub-assemblies for your production line from the same facility, with the same engineering team involved in both.
This is not a common combination. Most distributors do not manufacture, and most contract manufacturers do not maintain the kind of broad component inventory we carry. For customers whose work requires both, it simplifies the supply chain and keeps technical accountability in one place.
Working With Us
We work with design engineers, manufacturing engineers, maintenance managers, and procurement teams across the Pacific Northwest. The common thread is that they are working through a component or system problem that requires more than a catalog search.
If you are sourcing pneumatic, automation, fluid handling, or sealing components for a new application, an existing production line, or an MRO program, contact our team at automation@aoptech.com or call 253-735-5449. We are based in Auburn, WA, and serve manufacturers throughout Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.
